David Polansky is an accomplished trumpet player in constant demand throughout the New England area. Over the years he has worked with Arthur Fiedler, Sandler and Young, Phyllis Diller, Henny Youngman, Ray Bolger and others. Loved by everyone from preschoolers to grandparents, his songs have been compared to those of Stephen Sondheim and Tom Lehrer and have won numerous awards including the coveted Artists' Foundation Fellowship, Music City Song Festival, Sheet Music Magazine Grand Prize, and others. His Animal Alphabet Songs were spotlighted on Morning Edition on National Public Radio.
